24.05.2026 | Novi Sad, Serbia. The Serbia Open 2026 made history as the first ever FinalRep event held on Serbian soil. Organized by Jovan Mastilovic, the competition took place at Pendulum Gym in Novi Sad and brought together 37 athletes in front of 100 spectators for a full day of Streetlifting that ran from the morning all the way through to a midnight award ceremony.
Serbia entered the FinalRep map, and it did so at a high level.
Event Overview
From the opening flight to the final podium, the Serbia Open was a landmark occasion for the local community. A team of 20 people covering judging, spotting, and all organizational duties, ensured the event ran smoothly and professionally, delivering on the organizers‘ core objective: to stage the first FinalRep event in Serbia worthy of the name.
The competition was streamed live, giving the wider community access to the action in Novi Sad and extending the reach of Serbian Streetlifting beyond the gym walls. With 37 athletes competing, the field was competitive and the standard reflected a scene that has been preparing seriously for this moment.
Highlights and Athletes Performance
Three athletes dominated the conversation throughout the day.
Igor Panic in – 73kg produced two of the most impressive overhead performances of the competition, recording a 45kg muscle-up and a 95kg pull-up, both standout numbers that drew the loudest reactions from the crowd and established him as one of the most complete upper-body performers in the Serbian scene.
Jovan Mastilovic in -94kg answered with raw strength where it counts most: a 180kg dip and a 275kg squat, the heaviest lifts in their respective movements on the day, and performances that underlined why he is one of the key figures driving Serbian Streetlifting forward.
Marko Stepic won the -66kg with an astonishing 45kg muscle up.
Organizational Insights
The Serbia Open met its goals. The ambition was clear from the start, deliver a first FinalRep event in Serbia at a genuinely high level, and the feedback confirmed that the target was reached. Equipment quality and organization were consistently praised by athletes, with the main area highlighted for improvement being schedule pace, as the program ran longer than planned.
The main challenges on the day were minor: some delays in the competition program and data entry during the event, and minor issues with the livestream. None of these detracted significantly from the overall experience. The team of 20 people , notably larger than what many events of this size operate with, was identified as one of the key strengths that kept everything manageable despite the long day.
For future editions, tighter timetable management and advance checks on the program structure are already on the improvement list.
Community Response & Future Outlook
The response from athletes and the community was overwhelmingly positive. The atmosphere at Pendulum Gym was electric throughout, and the feedback from competitors was captured perfectly in one short phrase:
„Best event ever.“
The Serbia Open is not a one-time event, the plan is to return next year, with the same ambition and a sharper execution built on everything learned from this first edition.
Conclusion
The Serbia Open 2026 was a first edition that delivered exactly what a first edition should: a strong statement of intent, high-quality performances, and a community that left the venue already counting down to the next one.
Serbia is on the map. And it’s just getting started..
