22.03.2025 | Nijmegen, Netherlands. The first-ever Dutch Streetlifting Nationals marked a defining moment for the streetlifting community in the Netherlands. Hosted at the Riverland HealthCentre in Nijmegen and organized by Hassan and Sayf, the event brought together 70 athletes and over 300 spectators for a full day of strength, hype, and breakthrough performances.
Supported by key sponsors MPDS and Supremeforce, this inaugural national event proved that the Dutch scene is not only ready—but ready to lead.
Event Overview
From 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, the venue buzzed with energy as athletes competed across categories and judges—Sofia, Tonio, Pere, and Nadine—ensured each lift was held to the highest standards. With 40 people involved behind the scenes, the event ran smoothly from setup to teardown, despite a few minor logistical challenges with catering. It was the kind of day where newcomers made their mark, veterans brought intensity, and
the crowd carried the atmosphere to another level.
Highlights and Athletic Performances
One of the most anticipated showdowns unfolded in the -94kg men’s category, where Kenny and Duncan went head-to-head in a battle that kept the entire venue on edge. In the end, Duncan clinched the win by a slim margin, in what many called the most electrifying moment of the day.
The women’s categories also delivered standout performances, marking a new era of female strength in the Dutch streetlifting scene:
- W -63kg | Frida Peterson – In her first-ever competition, Frida secured first place
with a RIS of 104. - W -70kg | Lynn Narings – Achieved a 300+ kg total, a RIS of 125, and set a new
world record in dip with 80 kg. - W +70kg | Claudia van Osch – Finished with a 277 kg total and an RIS of 115.
These athletes didn’t just win—they made history.
Organizational Insights
As a debut event, the Dutch Nationals exceeded expectations. The strong turnout from both athletes and spectators showed the local appetite for high-level streetlifting.Feedback from athletes emphasized satisfaction with the venue, equipment quality, and overall organization.
