Kranj sits in the shadow of the Slovenian Alps, a city of roughly 40,000 people, and yet the Megacenter that hosted the Slovenia Open 2026 QUALIFIER drew athletes from 13 different nations, a world record was matched, an 18-year-old lifted numbers that made the room go quiet, and a national team earned its ticket to the European Championships. The other defining story was Ignacy Panz, who at just 18 years old posted a 166kg dip and a 260kg squat in the-94kg. Numbers of that calibre are exceptional at any age.
