The next chapter

The first 5 year cycle is done. Now we start the next 5 year cycle in the growth of FinalRep. In this article we will share with you some insights about the vision that we have for FinalRep and the global Streetlifting sport.

Review 2025 Season

In 2025 we are witnessing a strong global growth of the Streetlifting sport that was driven by the first FinalRep WORLDS Season. This season already included events in 14 countries on 4 continents. The attention that this season and the FinalRep WORLDS gained throughout this year was on a new level. Along with this season, many other organizations from new nations have reached out to us to join this project. Only within a few month after WORLDS 25 we can say that we have doubled our reach in terms of countries engaged with FinalRep. And moreover, the first continental championship seasons in America and Asia are on the schedule now.

With this strong expansion, there comes an increased workload that we as FinalRep have faced. We were only able to take this workload thanks to the support of an international team of volunteers. This was a cruical step in this growth process that is ofter underestimated and underrepresented.

Another aspect of this growth is the fact that we are managing a worldwide network of partners who committed to of the structures and principles that we have laid out. During the season we have recognized, that the structure that we provide needs to develop a better governance structure. A few weeks before the WORLDS in October 2025 this process reached a momentum that led us to initiation of a „WORLDS Meetup“ – the first personal get together of the leaders in the FinalRep cosmos worldwide.

WORLDS-Meetup 25

On Monday after WORLDS 25 – on the 06.10.2025 – the first FinalRep WORLDS Meetup took place in the VIP area of the SWH.arena in Halle (Saale). For this meetup we have invited the leaders of the sport in the FinalRep cosmos. Even if the announcement and the invitation of our partners was a bit short term, we still reached 30 participants on Monday morning. Among the participants were National Partners, Sponsors, International Judges and the FinalRep leadership team. We have used this opportunity to give some more insights about the FinalRep as an organization and its future plans and opened up the space for discussion on several points.

PS: thanks to everyone who stayed until the end for this picture 🙂

After all, there were 2 main topics discussed on that day: The creation of a more transparent governance structure for the worldwide Streetlifting sport and the Introduction of an international sponsorship network. Following these conversations, we already took action.

2 year plan & the foundation of a World Streetlifting Federation

Following the input from the WORLDS Meetup and the vision of us to create a sustainable structure for the sport, we have decided to initiate the founding process of a „World Streetlifting Federation (WSLF)“. Together with leading partners worldwide, we have created a working group for this initiative. On Sunday 04.01.26 we have held our first meeting to discuss the overall goal and working structure of this foundational process. Here we have laid out a 18-month timeline with several work packages that which shall culminate in the first general meeting at WORLDS 27.

We are excited about the shared interest and commitment of our partners to join this project. We will do our best to go this process with a high transparency towards the Streetlifting community. After each quarterly meetup of the WSLF working group, we will release a summary blog on this FinalRep website and additionally do a post in our Instagram channel so that you all engage with us on this topic. As always, we hope to get critical and constructive feedback from to have a more balanced view on the work that we do.

Another part of this further developing governance structure is the foundation of an Athletes Committee to have a better representation of the athletes voice within the FinalRep cosmos. Although FinalRep was co-founded by an Athlete, the scope of this organization has reached a level where the responsibility to represent the interests of such a large number of people can no longer be borne by one person. In the upcoming weeks we will also post a separate blog only on this topic here, introducing the members, the responsibilities and the way you can engage with these people.

5 year vision

Starting in 2026, we are looking forward to a 5 year period of further vertical and horizontal expansion of the sport. Besides the development in the sport itself – in terms of rules, equipment and event standards – we will focus on the following:

  1. Implementation of a democratic and transparent governance in the Streetlifting sport – via the foundation of a World Streetlifting Federation
  2. Increasing awareness of the sport outside our core community – by promoting the development of a widespread SL Underground and Calisthenics Endurance competition network
  3. Improvement of the sports funding structure – via the implementation of international sponsorship opportunities to make the sponsorship of Streetlifting and Calisthenics more attractive for bigger organizations.
  4. Development of further educational programs – including a coaching license and school education programs

Looking at this list we see a lot of work on us. However, the recent increase of engagement from volunteers around the world who connect with us, make us confident that we will achieve all these goals together!

Summary

The points given in this article represent some first insights on the roadmap for FinalRep from 2026 to 2030. The current point marks an important transition for us as an organization and also for the worldwide community that we have brought together. We have started this project with the vision to create a platform and a brand that unites and represents the sport. In our opinion we have accomplished this by today.

As mentioned, on part of this next chapter for FinalRep is to create a governance structure around the brand of FinalRep that we have created. With this we want to underline once more, that this brand was created with the intention to grow the sport and to build something big and sustainable. We are always looking forward to find the best approach to create a sport structure that fits the needs of our community and to create a blueprint how the ideal sport of the future can look like.

We are excited that this project has already attracted so many people around the world. For us, this project is about more than „just a sport“. It is about creating a culture that unites humans worldwide.

With sincere regards,

–– Your FinalRep Team 🧡
