01.03.2025 | Lisbon, Portugal. The Portuguese Streetlifting Final Rep Open 2025 proved once again that the spirit of weighted calisthenics is stronger than ever. Held at Lisbon’s Sthenos.fit Box in Carnaxide, this high-energy event not only showcased jaw-dropping athleticism but also brought together a passionate community of athletes, supporters, and organizers—all under one roof.
Event Overview
Organized by Calisthenics Center, Calistenia Portugal, and Sthenos, the event welcomed 52 elite athletes (with an additional waiting list of 30) and attracted a vibrant crowd of around 160–180 spectators. What was initially planned as a two-day affair quickly turned into a one-day full-house celebration—from an 8 AM kickoff to a thrilling 9:30 PM finish. Our esteemed sponsors—King of Weighted, Gornation, Ironage Equipment, NFX Funding, Monster, and Lisbon Strong—played a pivotal role in ensuring the event’s success, reinforcing the strong network that supports the growth of streetlifting.
Highlights and Athletic Performances
The competition was a showcase of strength and skill. One of the most memorable moments came from Aubin, who shattered three world records in the -80kg category by setting new benchmarks in:
- Muscle Up: 47.5kg
- Pull Up: 105.5kg
- Dip: 160.5kg
These record-breaking feats not only electrified the arena but also epitomized the full send of the Portuguese community—demonstrating the unity between athletes and judges as they pushed the limits of what’s possible in a single, power-packed day.
Organizational Insights
The event exceeded every expectation:
- Planning & Execution: Led by Emanuel Pardal—with crucial support from the Sthenos team during setup and an on-ground crew of 8 judges, 3 spotters, and 2 receptionists—the event proved that even unexpectedchallenges (like last-minute staffing issues and minor 4G connectivity problems) could be overcome with teamwork and determination.
- Technical Innovations: The FinalRep App once again streamlined the competition process, allowing for smooth operations despite some initial hiccups. Our commitment to digital integration continues to evolve, ensuring that future events run even more efficiently.
- Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Competitors have been unanimous in their praise—calling it “the best event ever” with top-notch equipment, perfectly calibrated weights, and a competition structure that maintained high energy throughout. Nevertheless, we’ve taken note of areas for improvement, such as enhancing internet connectivity and further educating our spotter team.
Community Response & Future Outlook
The excitement extended well beyond the competition floor. Social media channels, especially Instagram, were flooded with enthusiastic feedback, while athletes are already gearing up to share YouTube recaps of their experiences. The overwhelming positive response from the community has solidified our belief in the growing global appeal of streetlifting.
Looking ahead, we’re not stopping here. Upcoming events include an Underground Event scheduled for July 2025, an Endurance Event in October 2025, and plans for an Open event in 2026—with biannual underground editions planned in Lisbon and Porto. These future events aim to further push the boundaries and continue building on the success of Final Rep’s pioneering approach.
