Organizational Insights

The event was spearheaded by Suriano and Hideki, supported by a team of around 15–20 volunteers, ensuring a professional setup, smooth transitions, and a strong community driven atmosphere.
Spectator feedback was overwhelmingly positive, both live at the venue and across social media. Compared to previous events, this edition saw a notable boost in visuals and engagement, solidifying Monza as a key hub for Italian streetlifting. Disqualifications occurred but were handled with professionalism to maintain Final-Rep
standards. Importantly, no major injuries were reported during the competition.

Community Response & Future Outlook

While the event was a huge success, a few points for future optimization were noted:

  • Community Split: Having two competitions in different locations and timesweakened the overall cohesion of the Italian scene. The suggestion is clear: one unified national qualifier for future editions to maximize attendance and
    credibility.
  • Speed of Competition: Plans are underway to refine the event structure—reducing downtime between groups and allowing for a more efficient schedule.
  • Athlete Feedback: General sentiment was very positive, with athletes praising the setup, equipment, and atmosphere, noting improvements compared to the previous Italian qualifiers.
  • Technical Suggestions: Further minor updates to the app structure for entering attempts and better integration of the IPF-style lifting system are under review.

Conclusion

The Italian Open 25 reaffirmed the strength and passion of the Final-Rep community in Italy. With vibrant energy on-site and strong online buzz, the event set a new standard for qualifiers moving forward.
Looking ahead, discussions are already underway to organize another Italian qualifier in 2026—this time aiming for an even more unified and streamlined competition format.

The broader goal remains clear:

  • Build a strong, cohesive national competition
  • Maintain high international standards
  • Continue inspiring the next generation of streetlifters

As always, the spirit of Final-Rep remains: push limits, build community, and grow the sport we love.

Let’s keep pushing the limits together!
