Event Overview
14.06.2025 | Halle, Germany. The German Open 2025 delivered a huge leap forward for the Streetlifting scene in Germany. Organized by FinalRep Germany and powered by leading sponsors Supreme Force and Strength Shop, the event brought together 84 athletes, over 150 spectators overall—with more than 100 present each day—and the unmistakable pulse of a rapidly growing community.
Held over two well-structured and smoothly flowing days in Halle, this edition showcased impressive organization and atmosphere. With national records set, international representation from 14 nations, and thousands following online, the German Open proved once again that Germany is one of Streetlifting’s most important rising pillars.
Also supporting the event was Crazy Rice, delivering clean and functional nutrition tailored to performance-driven athletes.
From early morning until evening, the venue in Halle was alive with adrenaline, support, and elite-level performance. Across 12 weight classes, 84 athletes competed, cheered on by a passionate crowd of over 200 attendees.
A team of 20+ volunteers from all over Germany ensured every detail—from equipment setup to livestream logistics—ran smoothly. No major complications arose, and the high energy throughout the day was a clear testament to how far the local scene has come.
One of the biggest draws? Mathew Zlat, whose participation brought international hype and further elevated the atmosphere.
Highlights and Athletic Performances
The female -63kg weight class was one of the most exciting and competitive flights of the competition! The women under 63kg delivered incredible lifts, with the top three spots fiercely contested:
- First place went to Meike Pohl, finishing an almost perfect competition with a 10kg ring muscle-up, 35kg chin-up, 67.5kg dip, and a massive 145kg squat—finishing with a RIS of 110.45.
- Second place followed extremely close behind Mar Martiniz from Spain, with a 20kg ring muscle-up, 43.75kg pull-up, 61.25kg dip, and a 132.5kg squat—finishing with a RIS of 108.20.
- Third place went to Taru Riipinen from Finland, with a 12.5kg ring muscle-up, 45kg pull-up, 57.5kg dip, and a 130kg squat—finishing with a RIS of 103.57.
The -70kg female weight class saw an amazing battle between two top German athletes: Christina Fröhlich and Nadine Schulz.
- Christina earned the win with very heavy lifts: 20kg ring muscle-up, 50kg chin-up, 75kg dip, and a 142.5kg squat, resulting in a RIS of 119.40.
- Nadine followed with a strong finish in the squat: 20kg ring muscle-up, 38.75kg chin-up, 75kg dip, and a 145kg squat, for a RIS of 115.69.
- Third place went to Emmelie Vrban from Germany with a 15kg ring muscle-up, 30kg chin-up, 56.25kg dip, and 135kg squat, finishing with a RIS of 98.15.
The male under 80kg weight class was one of the most intense flights of the competition, with 8 out of 10 competitors finishing with totals over 400kg:
- First place went to Peter Tolstrup from Norway with a 35kg muscle-up, 87.5kg pull-up, 161.25kg dip, and 195kg squat, finishing with a RIS of 102.59.
- Second place was Pascal Klinkowski from Germany, with a 26.25kg muscle-up, 86.75kg pull-up, 120kg dip, and a mighty 240kg squat, scoring a RIS of 100.33.
- Third place went to Michael Schulz from Germany with a 25kg muscle-up, 81.25kg chin-up, strong 145kg dip, and a 220kg squat, with a RIS of 99.56.
In the male -101kg weight class, we saw the FinalRep debut of Mathew Zlat from Russia, finishing first with a 40kg muscle-up, 112.5kg pull-up, 180kg dip, and a 255kg squat, achieving a RIS of 111.72.
- Second place went to David Klimek from Czech Republic with a 15kg muscle-up, 72.5kg pull, 140kg dip, and 275kg squat (RIS 95.62).
- Third place went to David Tegam from Denmark with 20kg muscle-up, 80kg pull, 122.5kg dip, and 185kg squat, finishing with a RIS of 77.26.
We saw a double 180kg dip—once from Mathew Zlat in the under 101kg weight class and once in the above 101kg weight class from Tonio Zeidler. Are these athletes saving their strength for a 200kg dip at the Worlds in October? Well, you will have to come and see!
Organizational Insights
FinalRep Germany set the bar even higher with this edition. Compared to previous competitions, the German Open was bigger in scale, sharper in execution, and featured a more dynamic online and onsite experience.
Key wins:

- Smooth event flow with little to no delays.
One minor area noted for improvement was local marketing, which is already a priority for upcoming editions. Otherwise, athlete and visitor feedback was overwhelmingly positive, especially regarding equipment quality and event timing

The event’s digital footprint was massive:

- More than 17,000 unique accounts reached on Instagram.
- A wave of reels, photos, and behind-the-scenes clips circulating across social media.
The positive energy extended far beyond the venue, with viewers across the world engaging in the stream and highlights.
